Ryan's Vision
After decades of failed economic and fiscal policies, Illinois ranks 48th among the 50 states in job creation, is facing a $13 billion budget deficit, and has accumulated over $100 billion in unpaid bills, unfunded liabilities, and debt.
While the challenges before our state are great, we can overcome them with effective leadership and by applying a principled, conservative approach -- an approach that relies on responsible spending, low taxes, and private sector growth rather than deficit spending, higher taxes, and big government. As state representative, my highest priority will be enacting fiscal and economic reforms designed to make Illinois a destination economy -- a top-tier state for job creation and economic growth.
Illinois is a great state, plagued by mediocre leadership, and a new direction is possible if we send a fresh wave of energetic reformers to the General Assembly, starting right here in the 56th District.
