Higgins Supports Proposed State Lawmaker Salary Cut

ROSELLE, IL – Ryan Higgins, the Republican nominee for the 56th State House District seat, had the following reaction to Governor Pat Quinn’s proposal to reduce the salaries of state lawmakers in order to help balance Illinois’ burgeoning $13 Billion deficit:

“I completely agree with Governor Quinn’s proposal to cut legislative salaries,” said Higgins (R-Schaumburg).  “While we have a long way to go to reduce the staggering state budget deficit, this is a step in the right direction.”
